A Special Easter Egg…? Workshop with People with Intellectual Disabilities
March 16, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Dear Lap Cheers,
People with intellectual disabilities are one of the disadvantaged groups in Hong Kong, whose needs and presence are rarely in the public eyes. They are groups that desperately need the community’s attention and concern to overcome the challenges they face in daily life. We wish to make a small difference to this situation by inviting our fellow JSCV III residents to learn more about this disadvantaged group.
Lap-Chee College’s Connect Service Group is in collaboration with Hong Chi Association to organize an interactive workshop for residents to have a fun morning with people with intellectual disabilities. Hong Chi Association is a local non-profit making organization serving over 7,000 people of all ages and grades of intellectual disabilities in Hong Kong. They provide a wide range of services to people with intellectual disabilities, for examples job training, sheltered and supported employment, day care and so forth.
By joining this event, you will visit one of the Day Activity Centers and paint Easter Eggs together with participants from Hong Chi Association. Through interaction and communication with the participants, let’s share the love and joy of the Easter Festival and make your Easter Eggs of the year a special one.
