Mahjong Class (Round 1)
November 16, 2021 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Dear Lap-Cheers,
You’re invited to join our first round of Mahjong class!
Mahjong originated from the Qing dynasty; a tile-based game of strategy and probability involving four players. It is very popular amongst HongKongers and remains an integral part of family gatherings and important celebrations in Hong Kong, such as the Spring Festival. There are a great number of ways to play, but we will start with the most basic style: Cantonese mahjong.
The Hong Kong Series Team is now presenting the Mahjong Class to you. We will teach you the rules and regulations of Hong Kong Mahjong, and how to play Mahjong in a fun and enjoyable way.
Details of the class are as follows:
Date: | 9/11, 16/11 and 2 sessions in sem 2 (Schedule in sem 2 tbc) |
Time: | 20:30-22:00 |
Venue: | Chinese Tea Room, 3/F |
Quota: | 12 (Registered on first come-first served basis) |
We welcome all of you to join this interest class, which aims to foster friendship among Lap-Cheers and provide knowledge on local culture at the same time. If you are interested in joining the class to learn or share your Mahjong experience, please apply via this link: forms.gle/sA8heoWWvmhB15sUA
